Biography
Deniza Gafuri, born February 25, 2004, in Peja, Kosovo, is a multidisciplinary artist specializing in illustration, animation, and visual storytelling. A student of Art and Digital Media at UBT College in Prishtina, she has honed her skills through programs like Anibar’s Animation Academy, where she created her first short animation, The Diary.
Deniza has worked as the lead artist for METDAAN's NFT project and illustrated four children's books published by Europe House for Unseen Creative. She has contributed to the ANIBAR Animation Festival as a jury member, workshop coordinator, and volunteer. Her mural work has been featured at Futja Ngjyrë, Meeting of Styles, and Rrugë Fest, alongside exhibitions and competitions in Kosovo.
Passionate about cultural and community development, Deniza has actively participated in events such as YMCA, DokuFest, and the UN Youth Assembly in Kosovo. She is currently working on Kosovo's first manga inspired by Albanian folklore, continuing to shape the creative landscape of her country.
